This painting is inspired by the mangroves of the region. I was drawn to their chiaroscuro, the contrastbetween the intense Emirati light and the darkness beneath their dense canopy. This atmosphere allowedme to explore a more somber period. In Mindgrove, there is a relationship between landscape andmindscape, the meandering branches mirror the meandering paths of our thoughts.
