This work returns to one of the artist’s earliest images of home: a small house she painted as a child and wore as a handmade necklace. At the time, she could not have understood the significance of the image; she simply created something that represented home and carried it with her.

Years later, the childhood drawing is revisited through the language of the artist’s current practice. The image is translated into lino print and repeated across a surface formed from accumulated used tea bags. What began as one small, personal image becomes fragmented and dispersed, allowing the childhood memory to move through layers of time and material.

The tea bags hold the distance between the child who first imagined home and the person revisiting that memory now. Their stains and irregularities become traces of lived time, while the repeated house forms suggest how memory changes each time we return to it.

Across the three canvases, Remembering, Searching and Imagining become stages through which home is reconstructed. The work considers home not as a fixed structure, but as something we begin to construct within ourselves an image, a feeling and a memory that can be carried long after the original place has changed or disappeared.
