The Eye of the Unseen transforms vision into a field of language. Built entirely through handwritten words, the image of an eye emerges not as a realistic portrait,
but as a vessel of memory, perception, and inner awareness. The viewer is invited to look at the work while also feeling looked at by it.
Blue and ochre passages move across the iris like shifting layers of thought. The surrounding lines, formed from continuous writing, suggest that seeing is neverpurely visual: it is shaped by what we remember, what we believe, and what remains hidden within us. The eye becomes both witness and threshold - a meeting point between the visible world and the unseen life of the spirit.
Rather than offering a single narrative, the work asks a quiet question: what do we truly see when we look? As the words merge into form, reading gives way to contemplation, and the act of observation becomes an intimate encounter with oneself.
This piece continues my practice of 'drawing with words,' allowing language to become image, structure, and experience. It reflects my belief that every gaze carries a history, and that some of the deepest truths are perceived before they can be spoken.
